A few simple expectations for using Evergreen and offering an idea for review.

Last updated October 13, 2026 · Applies to Evergreen 1.0.

Using Evergreen.

Evergreen is operated by Baptiste Buchler. It offers daily ideas, saved quotes and a private space for reflection and gratitude. Create an account with an email address you control, keep your sign-in details private and do not use another person's account.

Please use the app as intended. Do not attempt to access another person's writing, bypass account protections, impersonate others or interfere with the service. If something appears wrong, tell us.

Your writing.

Your private entries are not community submissions. You choose what to write and what to keep. Account storage and sync handle that writing as described in the privacy policy.

Keep a copy of writing that matters to you. CSV and text exports carry your saved writing into a spreadsheet or readable document; JSON backups help restore the saved garden. Keep those copies private and check that an exported file opens correctly before relying on it.

Capturing a quote does not make it your original work. Keep the author's credit and the source, and distinguish exact wording from a summary or something remembered.

Sharing for review.

While signed in, you may choose a single Quote or Thought and explicitly send it for community review. An author, source and source link are optional. Add what you know, or leave unknown details blank; email verification is not required to submit. Sending it allows Evergreen to store that submission and consider it for possible community use. It does not send your journal or publish the idea by itself.

Share only material you have permission to submit. Accepting a submission does not establish its wording, authorship or permission to publish. Any later publication needs a separate permission and attribution check. There is no public submission browser or community voting, and a submission is not a promise that a review or publication will happen.

Chosen submissions may be reviewed with OpenAI through a local Codex nightly workflow, as described in the privacy policy. Approved ideas may be added to the curated daily library. No review or publication time is guaranteed.

You can see your own submissions and withdraw a submitted idea in the app. Withdrawal changes its status; it does not erase the stored submission record. Contact Evergreen if you need a record or separate review copy removed or if an idea has already been used elsewhere.

Community guidelines.

  • Offer one clear idea. Keep a quote or thought concise and useful. Do not submit bulk text, advertising or repeated copies.
  • Credit carefully. Add the author or speaker and source when you know them. A source link is optional. If you are unsure, leave unknown details blank or say what you remember. Do not invent a source or present a summary as an exact quote.
  • Respect people. Do not submit harassment, threats, hateful material, sexual exploitation, scams or requests to harm someone.
  • Protect privacy. Do not include someone else's contact information, personal journal, private conversation or identifying details without their permission.
  • Be honest about authorship. Label your own thought as your own. If you are unsure of a quote's wording or source, say so rather than making a confident attribution.

A submission may need a clearer source, editing or a decision not to use it. These guidelines describe the standard for review; they do not guarantee publication or immediate review.

Availability.

Evergreen is available free for iPhone on the App Store. Android is in closed testing and is not yet publicly available on Google Play.

Features can change, sync can be interrupted and storage is finite. The app is not a substitute for a backup of your writing. See the storage and retention details.

Optional support.

All Evergreen features remain free. Support is voluntary, does not unlock extra features and is not required to use the app. No payment is collected through this website.

The current iPhone release offers optional one-time Apple tips of US$2, US$5 or US$10. Apple provides the actual localized price and currency shown before you confirm. Review Apple's purchase confirmation before agreeing. Only support products available from Apple are offered. Android support payments are not available in the current closed-test app.

Apple handles payment through the Apple Account used for the purchase. A one-time tip does not create a subscription or renew. Monthly and yearly support subscriptions are not currently offered.

If you already set up an Apple support subscription during earlier testing, manage or cancel it through Apple in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Evergreen. Deleting your Evergreen account, signing out or uninstalling the app does not cancel that subscription. See Apple's cancellation instructions.

Your Evergreen login and Apple Account are separate. Support is a payment to help operate Evergreen; it is not described as a charitable or tax-deductible donation.

Questions & removal.

For support, a source or attribution concern, or a request about a submission, email . If reporting a quote, include its text or title and the source you believe is correct. Please leave out passwords and private journal content.

You can delete your account in Settings or request deletion by email. We will update this page as Evergreen changes.
